
Biography
Pinklam Siriwan Chan (b.1995)
Pinklam is a mixed-race artist of Chinese and Thai descent, working as a stage designer, image designer, art handler, and mural artist. She graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in prop production and painting. She then studied for a Higher Diploma in Visual Arts and Culture at the Hong Kong Design Institute, and later obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Birmingham City University in the UK. Currently, she works at a commercial gallery.
As an artist, Chan is deeply interested in the construction of thought and the subconscious. She explores how humans understand the world through the five senses (hearing, sight, touch, smell, and taste), thereby shaping their character and understanding of culture. This perspective aligns with the phenomenology of perception in philosophy, highlighting the importance of sensory experience in shaping our understanding of the world.
陳穎琳(b.1995)*
陳穎琳是一位中泰混血的藝術家,擔任舞台設計師、形象設計師、藝術品處理專員及壁畫藝術家。 她畢業於香港演藝學院,主修道具製作及繪畫藝術,隨後在香港知專設計學院修讀視覺藝術與文化 高級文憑課程,並獲得英國伯明翰城市大學的藝術(榮譽)文學士學位,目前在商業畫廊工作。
作為藝術家,陳穎琳對思維與潛意識的建構深感興趣。她探索人類如何透過五感(聽、視、觸、 嗅、味覺)理解世界,並由此建立自身性格和理解文化。這一觀點與哲學中的感知現象學不謀而 合,突顯了感官經驗在塑造我們對世界理解中的重要性。
